Our Mission

Against All Odds Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our aim is to provide rehabilitation and find permanent, loving homes for animals - focusing on those with special needs or conditions that may otherwise be euthanized, as well as to educate community members on the humane treatment of all animals.

We are a foster based rescue. We run solely on donations provided by those in our community and the passion and commitment from our volunteers. Our efforts to help reduce the overpopulation and displacement of animals, particularly those with disabilities, is our way of giving back.

We aim to provide education and homes to typically “unwanted” cats, giving every life an opportunity to thrive. Blind, paralyzed, deaf, FIV+, injured, or just needing help; we accept them all and work with potential adopters to educate and love for these special kitties.

Collectively those of us leading Against All Odds Cat Rescue have a combined 20 years+ of experience in Animal Welfare and Rescue work. We love what we do and we deeply value building relationships with our community members and other rescues.

“Ever since I was young, I think my whole family knew I'd be a "cat lady" someday, we always had cats and I started volunteering when I was about 18! I currently have 3 cats of my own! 😻 I also find cats everywhere I go…as you can see from this photo!!

I'm sure you are wondering… "Does this lady have a life outside of cats?!" Other than cats - I also love cars, music, traveling and the outdoors! I actually have raced cars since I was 9 years old, I took a break to go to college, and finally bought a racecar again recently!

Music is another huge part of my life, I went to college at CMU, and got a degree in music education (Fire up Chips! 🔥☝️). I ended up not teaching for a career though, and got a cool job working in IT with some amazing people, and I love it! I am still very active in music though, and I am President of the Capital City Brass Band in Lansing.”

A.K.A Awesome Lady

Hello all! 😊 My name is Krystyna and I am excited to be a part of AAO! Not only do I get to work with an amazing group of people, but I also get to do what I love most, work with cats and kittens, of all shapes and sizes! My love for animals started young and only grew as I got older. I have worked with other organizations and vet clinics throughout my life, which has made me more knowledge, passionate and caring for all animals I have helped, especially cats. Cats have always had a special place in my heart!

My love for animals doesn’t just stop at AAO! I also have three dogs, 6 cats and a lizard named Sammie. I married my amazing husband in 2011 and we have two beautiful, smart and wonderful girls together, who all bring a smile to my face every day.

Bio to come :-)

We are also a family of volunteers!

We all come from different backgrounds and lifestyles, but every person who makes up Against All Odds Cat Rescue is a person with passion, love, care, and commitment in their hearts with the same goal in mind. AAO is nothing without our fosters and volunteers. We couldn’t do this without them and they are all the reason we are who we are. Our AAO team is a team worth bragging about. We are the luckiest to have them!
